Having fully rendered 3D environments is honestly kinda crazy. Even without making each model yourself, arranging everything takes a lot of time. I also love how absolutely funny it is, genuinely reminds me of The Stanley Parable. The worldbuilding done is also really good in a subtle way, like Darkmoth Seal being something notable, but then because your journal is awful, that means you got their bottom of the barrel entry. Fuck Shitgristle and the chair, even if it was amazingly funny.
I'm in love with Merlin. I'm so glad that we get to see him. Anyways, the dialogue in your game was VERY humorous and I loved seeing the text change (whether it be for a name or a vulgar word being changed to more fanciful one). It says a lot about our protagonist and the characters that he works with. I was not sure if I was meant to read each sticky note on the map, but I felt a little tired after going through 7 of them. Is it important for me to read through it closely? I chose to allow the map to be published, though I actually do not know what the criteria is for something to be published or not.
The art is incredible and the fact that you made full rendered 3d environments for this game is honestly humbling. Your comedic timing is really effortless and casual but the jokes still got me every time. I want to take a moment to praise the silent look to sexy Merlin. That was a REALLY solid visual gag. Really really got me. I was a part of the group who stood around narrating the demo version of this and I think that enhanced my experience for sure. All the characters voices are very distinct and it makes it easy to hear them in my head, the extra effort to give them all their own fonts is subtle but really adds to the feeling of voice. Really excited to see where this goes if you choose to expand on it!
It was so cool to play this, especially seeing what you've added since last week! The overall tone and writing style is so perfect, the comedy works really well and I love all of the silly fantasy details. The game itself feels very polished, especially with the UI design. I didn't encounter any bugs during my playthrough. I would love to see more of this world, and see how this story would end!
